It's not every day that you get to play with such a beast as this. It belongs to a colleague who has kindly lent it to me to "cast an eye over it". Well I'm not going to pass up the chance to run some film through whilst I have it in my possession. There is, however, one major problem with the camera. The Compur Rapid shutter is not rapid at all in fact anything below 1/30th of a second doesn't work, the shutter opens then just freezes. I will talk to the owner to get his permission to service it, meanwhile, I will try it out but only at the higher speeds.

What a classic performer, superb sharp images and, given that the shutter is a bit suspect, even the auto exposure was good. After the results obtained from the first test roll I will definitely have to service the shutter and give it something a bit more challenging.
