I bought this particular camera for "the challenge" and have
now been out with it. At first it seems a little clumsy but you soon grow
to like the chunky feel. The handling of the camera is a joy and the
function buttons are not only bigger than average but also really well
thought out. The flash and mode buttons are either side of the large LCD
window and being separate means that you can set long distance mode
without having to change the flash setting because this is automatically
disabled in distance mode. It is a really nice change to have a compact
camera with control buttons and LCD which I can read without having to
resort to reading glasses. The start up and zoom are very fast and also
unusually quiet. I think I can safely say that this is the best handling
compact I have been out with, a real pleasure to use.
