Oh how I love the Olympus OM series and this is an excellent example of why, but then the OM1 is a legend. It handles like a dream, focuses easily and accurately and fires so smoothly you barely feel any movement. On it's first trip out the meter battery failed but that's why I prefer this type of camera to the later battery dependant models. As I usually have a lightmeter packed in my kit bag this was no problem, just take the reading and set manually, the camera still performs perfectly. Sadly I don't think my meter reading skills are as good as the camera, consequently some of the exposures a quite a bit off. I need to take it out again, preferably on a brighter day, with the meter working to do this legendary camera justice.
