The technical stuff:
Type: Single Lens Reflex
Lens: Minolta 35 - 70
Shutter: Focal Plane

From the period in SLR development that revolved around
the amount of automation that could be included. Quite unique in design in
that programmable scene modes could be obtained by inserting micro chip
cards. Without the chip this runs as Program automatic or shutter
priority. This one includes chips for manual and sports modes. I know I'm
probably biased but I love the handling of this camera, so much like my
500si. The disappointment is that the standard Minolta kit lens is not the
sharpest lens in the bag. There is also a Sigma 70 - 210 with the camera
and this is sharper but, of course limited in use.
