Halina 6-4

The technical stuff:

Camera Type:- Medium format Viewfinder

Lens Type:- Fixed  Halina f8

Shutter:- unknown

The question which comes to mind is why? This is a very basic MF camera with the option of 6 x6 or 4 x 4 format. However the spindle inside would indicate it only uses 120 roll film, the smaller format is supported by using a baffle plate on the film gate. For 4 x 4 you would use a 136 film but the spindles for this are too short for the camera body, so it appears that you use the 120 film for either format. 120 film does not have markings for 4 x 4 spacing so to be sure of clearing the film gate you would wind on to the next number giving only 12 per roll in either format, but with big gaps on the smaller size. When I bought it I thought it would be half frame 6/45 but this is not the case. I was keen to see how the Halina lens performed on a medium format camera because I've had some great results on 35mm.
