| This arrived with mixed blessings. I've been looking for an affordable early Silette with multi-speed shutter for some time. This one arrived in generally good condition and with a quick service the shutter was up and running at all speeds. What I really liked was the brightwork was in such good shape but sadly the front lens element is probably beyond repair. The coating is badly pitted over quite a large area which will make focus and sharp pictures virtually impossible. However, all is not lost because I already have 3 other Silettes with the Apotar 3.5 and I might be able to swap the element from one of these. |
